When we decided, I mean really DECIDED to do this, fill out tons of paperwork, travel across the world, scrape and save money to redeem our son was an amazing night. It had come after a lot of prayer. The next morning I got cold feet. As I stepped out of my cozy home where any idea I have seems possible and out into the world where I can feel small, I began thinking… Who am I to do this? Can we really do this? Maybe this idea is just too crazy….I got into my car as those thoughts ran through my mind. I was alone and started my car. IMMEDIATLEY, The Spirit whispered, ‘listen…..’ This is the song that came on the radio…. exactly as I turned on my car, like it was waiting for me. I didn’t recognize the song immediately, but I knew the song was for me at that moment. The song says, ‘The crowd is kind and quick to pull you in’, ‘Welcome to the middle ground, you’re safe and sound’ – There have been many people to say ‘Why do YOU have to do this? I say, why not us? It can be easy to justify ourselves into staying in the ‘middle ground’ and it can feel very comforting to live in this ‘middle ground’. The idea that there is someone else to save these kids and that it is not MY responsiblity to do anything is tempting. There are many truly kind people who become overwhelmed at the reality of it all and that leads them to inaction, I have been one of those people. But, that feeling is not from God. I’ll give you a guess who it’s from…
Another line says, ‘Cause its been fear that ties me down to everything’, This is true. What does fear prevent you from doing? Fear does tie us down and prevents us from soaring to our highest potential that God knows we are capable of. Christ’s love and believing in Him cuts that ‘string’ that ties us down. Believing is a verb after all.
Sometimes we feel so small and incapable of doing such a great feat. But that is OK! WE don’t have to do it all, That is what He is there for. When we are following His will and because he believes in us we only have to be that small spark to get things going and before we know it, with his help, we will have a raging fire! Another God timing moment I am thankful for!
So long status quo I think I just let go…….

What a beautiful song. One of my favorites too! Love the way God spoke to you so clearly when you got into your car and turned on the radio. And even more I love that He says when we have even the smallest amount of faith, those overwhelming mountains of reality can be moved–because He longs to do miracles for His children!
